RX-78-2 Gundam - 2019 redesign

A redesign of the original Mobile Suit, Gundam. As potentially unnecessary as this could be seen as, it is to establish an art style specific to the universe currently under construction- a proof of concept.
Attempting to make the design cohesive in both animated, CGI, and photo-real settings, this design is designed to remain familiar enough as to be recognisable, but separate enough so as to seem valuable and valid independently.

a simple collage to show the creation of a 3D model. i wasn't thoroughly pleased with it by the end, however aspects of the design went on to inform me, and it resulted in being invaluable work.

This was the original final image, but was dethroned when I was hired to upscale it so it could be printed for a client who wished to have it as a car wrap; this is kept for posterity
